Gordon Unplugged: Dear Radical Feminist (#2)

Dear RadFem,

For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Therefore, if women are reacting in their daily life because of the fear of what will happen to them at the hands of men, and it causes them distress, you would call that systematic oppression when it happens over generations.

I have watched as, over generations, men reacted in their daily life when women – as a group – became strident in condemning any man on the spot when that man was simply trying to hold a door open for them. Because men did not know when they would be randomly attacked by any woman, generation after generation they’ve been in distress, and therefore systematic oppression happened.

Again, when all-or-nothing thinking is employed, balanced thinking goes out the window. Three rules of logic apply here.

One, false dichotomies: One cannot reduce the argument to two possibilities.

Two, bandwagon fallacy: If something is popular, it does not mean it is true.

Three, non sequitor: “This” does not always follow “that”.

Again, your anger does not scare me. In fact, it makes me mad when I see that you are now acting worse than the very class you say is hurting you. I shall delete your silly emails, so don’t bother with the rant, unless you want to tag me in social media so I can publicly reply.
